Mikuni Festival

The Mikuni Festival is a vibrant celebration steeped in tradition and community spirit. This festival dates back over 300 years and is most famous for its grand procession of ornate Yamakasa floats, which are meticulously handcrafted and decorated with elaborate figures and vibrant colors. Participants, dressed in traditional attire, parade these massive floats through the streets, accompanied by lively music and chants, creating a festive atmosphere.

The Mikuni Festival not only showcases the cultural heritage of the region but also fosters a sense of unity and pride among its residents. Alongside the float processions, the festival features various performances, food stalls, and activities that highlight the local culture and cuisine, making it a cherished event that draws crowds from far and wide.

We ended the day in a fun and oishii restaurant, sitting right at the bar and observing, meticulously, what the chef was doing. We love that. Kakashi Restaurant
