Klingenstock to Fronalpstock with Persio, Silvana and the Ortiz family!

During the Ortiz family’s week-long visit, we embarked on the iconic ridge hike from Klingenstock to Fronalpstock. Persio and Silvana traveled from Verona to join us for a few days, and we were blessed with sunshine and ideal temperatures throughout the adventure.

To reach our starting point at Klingenstock, we took the steepest cable car in Europe up to Stoos, followed by a picturesque chairlift ride that whisked us to the trailhead. From there, we began the two-hour ridge hike to Fronalpstock, where every step rewarded us with ever more breathtaking views of the surrounding landscapes.

Despite Jennifer’s fear of heights, she conquered the challenge and reached Fronalpstock. I think, in the end, she was glad she took it on—though I suspect she might not have come had she known all the details beforehand. Sorry, comadre linda, pero si te lo digo todo, no vienes!

After savoring a delicious lunch at the Fronalpstock restaurant, we descended back to the valley and returned home. The day wasn’t over yet, though—we capped it off with a refreshing swim in the lake, followed by a barbecue expertly prepared by Zenon. It was truly a perfect day, filled with good company, beautiful scenery, and unforgettable moments.
