The Haute Route – Day 10, August 31

Cabane de Moiry 2825m – Col de Sorebois 2847m – Zinal 1675m

After breakfast at the sunny and modern restaurant over the frontal view of the glacier, we started going down along the Lac de Moirey. The lake had an amazing color – turquoise blue!
It was difficult to take our eyes off from this amazing mass of water, but our gravel path required our full attention : (
Toiling up the path to Col de Sorebois (2847m) in the full sun, we were welcomed by another valley, Val de Zinal.
As it is the ski area, the path was easy and after pleasant lunch at the sunny terrace, we hopped on the tele-cabin to go down to Zinal to save our legs from a steep decent of around 800m : )
